Ian Rose

Ian has been a financial advisor in the healthcare space since 2001, co-founding Surgeons Capital Management in 2012 with his partner, Robert Owen. Ian works extensively with Surgeons around the country and is a frequently invited guest speaker to university resident and fellow programs, State Surgeon associations, and National Surgeon Associations across the country. Ian is considered an expert in this field and continues to attend 20+ Surgical meetings per year to make sure his knowledge of the space is always current. By keeping up-to-date with the nuanced aspects of financial planning for Surgeons, Ian can offer CME during his sessions, adding direct value to his lectures. Ian works with Surgeons in both the private and university setting, with expertise in all aspects of their different planning needs and income structures.

Ian is currently the CEO of SCM, focusing on investments, insurance, and tax and estate planning strategies for Surgeons and their families. Ian utilizes a team approach for each client, helping them create a fully individualized and customized plan.

Over the years, Ian has received several awards in his field including the Five-Star Wealth Award* (2013, 2016, 2018), Bronze Eagle, multi-year qualifier of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and many others. Ian has also been recognized by several Surgical societies around the country for his expertise in financial planning strategies for Surgeons and their practices.

Ian is a graduate of Boston University’s Questrom School of Business (B.A., Finance), where he maintains a role as peer advisor for the school and provides valuable advice to future financial advisors.

Ian lives in Bryn Mawr, PA with his lovely wife, Monica. In his downtime, Ian loves to golf, travel, and drink wine.
